GiveMe5 Supports Friends of Alemany Farm

Join us for a day on the farm to support Friends of Alemany Farm’s mission of growing food security and educating local residents about how they can become their own food producers. Together we can work to restore agricultural solutions to climate change, increase our knowledge of the environment and sow the seeds for economic and food justice. The experience will start with a tour of Alemany Farm to learn more about the history and get acquainted with the farm through smell, taste and touch. Volunteers will then dive into their farm projects for the afternoon and end with the opportunity to pick their own produce to take home.

About Alemany Farm

The largest urban farm in San Francisco

The Friends of Alemany Farm is a nonprofit that grows over 13 tons of produce annually at San Francisco’s largest urban agriculture site, Alemany Farm. One hundred percent of our crops are offered to the public free of charge, boosting food security for low income populations. They host 10,000 individual volunteers each year – second in volume only to Golden Gate Park (an expanse 300x our size). They are committed to teaching Bay Area urban residents how to grow their own food, modeling regenerative agricultural solutions to climate change and increasing ecological knowledge and habitat value.
